Pilot project

I'm trying out a new pilot project. (mock demo page)

When aspiring actresses (it's usually the girls, not that many guys! Or it's the girlfriend of the guy - go figure!) write me, they're most interested in getting an address on NativeCelebs. That seems important.

Problem is, the site is pretty full, so I have to limit what I put on it. That means aspiring actresses for the most part won't get their wish of having their resume and bio on NativeCelebs.

They get the placement in the Casting Photos section, but that's about it.

So I've been wracking my brain to come up with something that would satisfy everybody.

Here's what I'm thinking:

• The important part seems to be the address, yet I'd like for every actor to have full control over his/her site. Which means the site should be off NativeCelebs.
• By having a pointer (a frame page) that has the address on NativeCelebs, yet points to say a freebie site, both those concerns can be fulfilled.
• The ideal freebie site is the one that comes with your ISP account (have a look at mine, it's really nice! No ads!). The other alternative is Geocities and Tripod (they're probably going to be around for a long time, so in that way they're safe).
• I also want to build into the site ways for the actress to update it herself even if she's technologically impaired. Believe me, it can be done with the right tools!
• The deal will be for me to do an initial design, put into it text that has been written already (ie I don't have to write it), and then turn over the password to the site to the actress. She can ask me to do a major update later, but that will be another deal. She's free to ask somebody else to do it.
• But the forward from NativeCelebs is a yearly deal. That's initially part of the deal for one year, but a separate deal if she doesn't need me to help with the updates after the year is over.
• The site will work even if you decide to stop using the forwarding from NativeCelebs. I'll put the "real" address on the bottom of the pages along with the NativeCelebs address. Just right click and open the site in a new window to get rid of the frame from NativeCelebs.
• If this takes off, I might end up providing a statistics each month for number of hits.
