This is an assortment of facts about Duane, both questions I get often (FAQ type), and miscellaneous other facts that belong here for one reason or another.
Q:How many moons have passed?
A: No idea, apart from what I can guess. If you're hoping to get that information out of him, good luck. Whatever documentation may exist out there about
Duane and his brother's origins or birth, due to his family's business, which was involved with the government and mostly secret, these details are most likely misleading.
Q: Is he single?
A: Yes, last I asked, he was definitely single. But that depends on a certain lady who takes his eye. Duane says the entertainment industry makes it very hard to sustain a lasting relationship.
FACT:
Duane is not on the internet, in any way, shape or form. He does not like
computers, doesn't want to learn to operate one, and thinks the internet is a
very scary place. There's absolutely no way you could have a chance meeting with
him on the net. So if any guy on the internet says he is Duane or approaches you saying he's Duane, it will be an absolute fraud. This site is his only outlet on the net whatsoever (except
the new Norwegian site: ulvefot.com).
Yet there are guys online who use his photos, his nicknames, maybe even his name - in order to meet women. Some of these women end up surfing this site, sometimes after they've been taken for a ride. I'm very sorry about that, but there's no way I can police chatrooms and the like looking for these shady characters. If you've got any information about such activities, please let me know, and include as much info as possible.
There have been women who have wanted so desperately to believe that the guy they've been talking to is Duane, they don't believe me when I tell them it's not the case. Well, it's very simple. If the guy says he's Duane, ask him for a scan of his driver's license. And if he says he's not Duane, believe him! There are guys out there with a superficial likeness to Duane. But if you find the photos the guy sent you on this site, run the other way. Why get involved with a guy who pretends to be someone else?
Q: I found some stuff in a search engine that connected Duane's name with
porn. What's that about?
A: Basically, Duane's name has been misused a number of times to promote porn
sites. It's a common practice on the net. A lot of celebrity names are misused
in that way. In addition to that, we recently found a profile page that looked
like it had been opened by Duane, and the links were dirty, to put it mildly. His
name was used illegally and fraudulently. He's going to the authorities to stop
that. Duane is not endorsing those sites, and furthermore - there is NO profile
page or e-mail address opened by him on the net! Here's something Duane said in
1999, when this issue about fake porn photos first came up: He said there are no nude
photos or film/video of him whatsoever. He's never posed for nude
photos nor done nudity on film. That makes those photos either
artificially pieced together, faked or non-existent. The most revealing photos Duane has ever
posed for are the ones without a shirt.
Q: Are you Duane's manager?
A: No, I'm not his manager. We talked about my role in 1999, and this is
what we agreed on: I
would be his internet representative. I'll be a, ahh, I think he said
"conduit". Mainly that means I'm the point of contact
for Duane - both for the industry (in the US) and for fans and friends. It
also means I make the day to day decisions about Duane's image
online, whether it's photos he has copyright to or anything else.
Duane has to trust me and then take me to task if I do anything
stupid.

After fifteen years of complete inactivity, what happened in the year 2000 was unbelievable. Duane is ecstatic! He's already planning who he's going to show printouts of the poll to! As always he's trying to play it cool, but don't be fooled, he's really excited. Thank you so much to all the people who made this happen. Thanks to the Scandinavians, you've really been great. To Nana and her gang, you didn't just dream, you helped make this happen! To all the fans around the world - we'll see him in movies and TV-series again soon, I hope!
