About Morten:
His name is Morten, and he lives in Norway. He's fascinated with Native American culture, and has been a friend of mine for several years now. He's been posting here and on a few other forums for a while, often as SunnyOslo. He has a big video collection, and has easily seen a lot more movies than I have.
He doesn't follow every forum out there, so please send stuff to him if you spot something interesting on a forum, or if you find out something interesting.
Some of you might be wondering why I'm asking Morten to help me with this. The newsletter is actually a lot of work, if done well. Morten is so interested in the field of Native American entertainment, he keeps updated anyway, much like I did years ago. Another thing is that I have known him for years. I know him on a whole other level than most net friends. Often, when people offer to help me with things, I try to get to know them. That period takes quite a while, and somehow either the personal chemistry doesn't work, or they get tired of waiting. With Morten, he offered to help for real long after I got to know him, so it's hopefully the perfect timing.
Another factor, that's both good and bad, is that Morten is not Native American. While Native Americans prefer working with other Native Americans, there's a lot of conflict inherent in that. Political stuff, jealousy, Hollywood in general. It's just sooo easy to get sucked into conflicts. Morten is in Oslo, Norway, like me. I guess you could say, we're close by in internet terms, but far away from the conflicts and the intrigue that sometimes happens.
Webmaster: My name is Annie. I'm
not native, and therefore not an authority on native issues. I do
make mistakes, so please correct me and help me make this a
better site. NativeCelebs is about Native American Indians in the
entertainment industry.
